This year for summer camp Troop 364 went to Skymont Scout Reservation in Altamont Tennessee. The troop arrived on Sunday June 23rd. The next morning everybody started merit badge classes and we won the Cracked Skillet Award, and this gave us the responsibility of doing flags the next day. Each day the troop kept working on improving our entrance, camp, and attitude. Every day all of our scouts went to their merit badge classes. On the last full day of camp this year the troop did a service project at shooting sports, clearing the area around the rifle range of bushes and other hazards. After the project the troop sent three patrols to the camp wide games. We also sent the only two scout masters to the water melon wrestle and we won. At the closing campfire we earned several awards. Our Senior Patrol Leader Josh Rice earned the Orion Scout Award. Two out of three of our camp wide game patrols won there events. The Troop won two awards the Golden Dustpan and the Montasky Moccasin Award. This year the troop outdid itself by completing and earning most of the awards. It was a fun week at Skymont.
