Over the weekend of October 11 – 13, the troop camped at Shiloh National Military Park. We arrived and cooked dinner on the 11th, and prepared for the first cold night in a long time. The next morning we cooked and traveled to the Shiloh Visitor Center where we started the thirteen mile long trail. We visited the memorials for fallen soldiers, the Shiloh Methodist Church, and many other cool and fascinating sites. Halfway through a group went back to the visitors center to rest and make lunch, the rest of the group finished the trail and arrived back at the visitors center. The troop had lunch outside the visitors center then went back to camp. We had stations and helped the younger scouts in the troop advance. The next morning we packed up and head home. Here are some of the pictures we took on the camp-out.
